Dealbreaker Filters

If you are able to set deal-breaker filters, you can (in theory) eliminate users that you do match with you based on their hobbies, traits, beliefs or more. Where deal-breaker filters are available, they mostly only remove these users from your search results or they may not be shown to you in familiar discovery/swiping systems.

We believe that deal-breaker filters need to go further. If you have said you do not want to match with someone with  children, or a dog, or over 175cm tall (for example) then any user who has this deal-breaker in their profile should never even see your profile. That can be achieved when an app offer bidirectional filters.  This way, you can avoid being matched or liked by people that don’t meet your criteria – thus saving you from a lot of spam and effort in filtering your likes.
