Intros or Introductions are a feature that can be attached to a like in some dating apps. In others, an Intro is possible because the app enables you to message any user. It’s a great free feature when available because likes that are accompanied by a message of introduction have more than 30% response in Tinder and Bumble.
In those apps, Intros are only available as an attachment to a ‘super-like‘, which are – in turn – extra paid features. In the Hinge app (owned by the same company as Tinder), Intros are actually compulsory – you can only like a user by commenting on the photo or prompt that you liked.
