Boost (also known as spotlights or under a variety of names) are most often a paid feature that… well boosts of puts your profile into the spotlight. Instead of showing up in place 100 of a card stack, for example, you might appear in the first 10 cards. Basically, it exposes your profile to up to 10x more users and/or more often. Boosts normally last for a limited time – often half an hour.
